Before you write

• It hears nothing. Check the microphone permission in System Settings or Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone, and on the Mac that the right microphone is picked in the panel's footer.
• It counts the other person on the call (Mac). Allow System Audio Recording in System Settings › Privacy & Security; it needs macOS 14.2 or later. Without it, every voice the mic hears counts as you.
• It counts other people in the room (iPhone). Enroll your voice in Settings so only your words are scored.
• "Listened" reads 0 on the reflection board (Mac). The board counts the other party only while System Audio Recording is allowed.
• A word it shouldn't count, or one it misses. Every built-in word can be switched off in Filler Words; context rules already skip "turn right" and "I would like". Tell us the sentence and we will look at the rule.

Purchases and refunds

Mac. UmAh Pro is bought in your browser; Pro unlocks in the app as soon as the purchase completes. Your receipt shows a license ID: keep it, since it moves Pro to another Mac ("Already bought? Enter your license ID" on the paywall). Refunds go through the checkout provider named on your receipt; for a refund or a lost license ID, email us with the license ID.

iPhone. UmAh Pro is an in-app purchase. Restore it from Settings on a new phone with the same Apple Account; refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Requirements

Mac: Apple silicon, macOS 13 or later; ignoring the other party needs macOS 14.2. iPhone: iOS 26 or later.
